Notifications

Note: Notifications is a new notification system in Version 20, and it is only used by processes in the Dataflow Manage Data workspace. The Task Notification system is used by processes in other workspaces (see Task Notification area).

The Notifications viewer shows the status of processes which are (or were) running in the background during your Dataflow session. This is used for processes which may take a long time to complete, such as creating a new version, or publishing document edits.

To open the Notifications viewer, click the Notifications icon Notifications button in the Manage Data top menu.

If there are unread notification messages this is indicated by a number in a red circle: Notifications button

The Filter function is helpful to bring up useful information. You can filter by Status (Unread, Read, In progress) or Severity (Success, Error, Info, Warn), or both.

Click the Export log button in a notification to export a CSV file that will contain a detailed log for a completed job process. The files are named 'joblogs-' plus a ISO format date-time string (e.g., 'joblogs-2022-11-24T17_03_16.046Z.csv'). They are normally saved in the folder location that has been set for default browser downloads, or alternatively a Save File dialog will be shown.
